DoubleTree Hilton, Hyde Park

The project involved the replacement of the chillers at the fully operational Hilton DoubleTree Hotel, with our team acting as designers, project managers and contractor administrators, delivering a comprehensive turn-key solution.

Originally built in 1972 as a Ramada hotel, the property was rebranded as Hilton DoubleTree around a decade ago. Over the years, it has undergone several refurbishments, blending modern systems with original architectural features.

Works included the removal of the existing water-cooled chillers and dry air coolers, followed by the installation of new roof-mounted packaged chillers. These were connected to the ground floor plant room via new pipework running externally down the facade of the building, supported by auxiliary equipment such as primary pumps, buffer vessels, plate heat exchangers, and filtration systems.

To ensure uninterrupted cooling throughout the project, a temporary chiller was installed with all necessary connections and ancillaries. Electrical upgrades were also completed, including new power supplies and control systems tailored to the new plant.

This project demonstrates our ability to manage complex building services upgrades in live hospitality environments, ensuring minimal disruption and seamless delivery.
