James began his career in MEP consultancy at Hoare lea in 2023, working predominantly within the mission critical sector. He joined The Form Partnership in August 2026 as an intermediate engineer, reconnecting with partners Mike Walker and Andy Peggram after previously working alongside them across the hospitality and residential sectors. His first-hand exposure to existing buildings, RIBA Stage 5 construction and client monitoring has given him an early appreciation of buildability, helping him identify and mitigate risks early – a skill he carries into his design work.

James draws upon his mission critical background to deliver technically rigorous solutions across projects of varying complexity and scale, bringing a keen eye for detail. He uses his strategic and pragmatic approach to ensure technical excellence at every stage of a project.
